Title: Rarity from the Hollow Author: Robert Eggleton Genre: sci-fi, slice-of-life, satire,  Rating: 4 stars Rarity from the Hollow was indeed one of the most peculiar books I've ever received for a review. In its annotation, I've seen it compared to many other works of literature, but I think Rarity from the Hollow posses its unique touch of weirdness.   This is the story of a little girl, Lacy Dawn, from a family that is about to break. Lacy's father is a war veteran and suffers from the trauma of his past. His suffering echoes throught the whole family, bringing it down with him. Meanwhile, the life of Lacy's friend gets a turn even for a worse. Title: Tender Triumph Author: Ruth Roberts Note: review copy from inkspand, and also a novella Pre-read thoughts: I don't know why, but I was captivated by this title the first time I saw it. I had another book to review at hand, and besides, contemporary romance isn't my favourite. But it just continued calling me and I couldn't resist. The story: It was by sheer chance that Natalia and Jared met on that charity party - she still recovering from her divorce, and he - simply not able to stand such events. With the plan Jared comes up with to save Natalia's pride, and with the discovery of some mutual friends, friendship is sure to bloom here as well. But what about something more? Title: Thunder: The Shadows are Stirring Author: Hannah Sullivan Note: review copy from Inkspand Pre-read thoughts: Alas this time I don't have a pre-read story, longer than the review itself. It just sounded interesting. I bet you're all relieved. The story: Thunder was just a story, they believed. A favourite story their parents would tell them anytime, a story about how brave and kind kids save the day. And so it was untill the day a devastatin accident (but was it accident at all?) took away the parents and the kids were saved by huge, talking horse, named Thunder. And thus their adventure begun. Title: Mind me, milday Author: Anne Rothman and Kenneth Hicks Notes: review copy from Inkspand Pre-read thoughts: I am always in for a good new thriller, and the blurb for Mind me, milady was more than good enough to help me overcome the look of the cover. Before getting to the real part, few words about the cover. I thought it awful. Or rather - it's a beautiful picture, with all the text placed all right, but I don't feel it suited the story, nor the atmosphere of the novel. Skyskipper turned to be one of the books that made me utterly happy and made me go swirling around clutching the book - or in this case, my tablet in joy. : Title: Ted saves the world Author: Bryan Cohen Series: Ted saves the world #1 Source: Story Cartel Pre-red thoughts: After an attempt to listen to audio book did not go well, I was in a desperate need of a book about superheros for the Muse Forum August challenge. This is when I spotted this title on Story Cartel and couldn't believe my luck. The story: Ted is not having a good day. He's just had a break up with his girlfriend and what he needs is some alone time to spend drowning in teen angst.
